The BIG Feed is a build-your-own experience donation walk for Feed Nova Scotia. Gather a small team, register, gather your donations, choose your drop-off location, and walk on Sunday, November 15th.

Make it a stroll around the block with your children or plan a route to challenge your team with a hike between cities.

Register your Team:

Register and tell us a little bit about yourself and your team’s plans. Registration is free.

1.

Gather your donations

We’re asking you to gather funds and food!

Once you’re registered you’ll receive instructions on how to set up your online fundraising page. We encourage you to reach out to family, friends, colleagues, clients and let them know that you’re doing The BIG Feed and ask for their support. We’ve set our goal at $25,000!

When gathering food donations here’s a list of most-needed food items to keep in mind. Feel free to have fun with the challenge and have a theme for your donations such as breakfast foods, or snacks, etc.

2.

Choose your drop-off locations

There are three drop-off locations to choose from:

Dartmouth: Kiwanis Grahams Grove Park @ 45 Grahams Grove

Halifax: Point Pleasant Park (far corner of Lower Parking Lot, near Black Rock Beach)

Bedford: DeWolf Park @150 Waterfront Drive

Each location will be accepting donations between 1:00pm & 4:00pm that day. Look for the Feed Nova Scotia trucks and volunteers.

Note: We ask that all participants respect the Public Health rules and only participate if you’re feeling well and symptom-free, and social distance throughout your walk and during drop-offs. All event volunteers will be wearing masks and using hand sanitizer. We ask that all participants use the provided hand sanitizer and wear your mask during drop-offs.

3.

Build your own experience

With no official start lines or set routes we encourage you to create an experience right for your team to bring you to your chosen drop-off location.  Get creative with your delivery and feel free to use backpacks, wagons, or strollers.

Looking for a challenge? Walk 20kms and haul your 50lbs of food donations with you. Making this more of a fun family event? Walk around the block and have the kids fill their backpacks or wagons.

If you’re out of town and not able to come to a drop-off location you can still fundraise! Please register and set up an online fundraising page.

We’ll have prizes for the team with the most food donated, most money donated & furthest distance walked!
